An app born from a family need

Why I created Parkinson Tracker

My father, Pascal, lives with Parkinson’s disease. Being there for him, I noticed something simple: appointments with the neurologist come every three to six months, and they last twenty to thirty minutes. In so little time, months of life have to be summed up. Things get skimmed over. Part of what happened is forgotten by the time you walk into the consulting room.

So I wanted a tool that helps nothing get lost along the way. Day to day, my father logs how he feels with one tap, and when he takes his medication with two. The app turns this into a clear PDF report, which he can pass on to his neurologist himself before the appointment.

The aim: for the appointment to focus on what really matters. The important points in the report, and above all how the person feels day to day.

Parkinson Tracker is free. The data stays on the patient’s device, and in their private iCloud if they turn it on. The app makes no diagnosis and gives no advice: it simply helps prepare for the appointment, at each person’s own pace.
